Adult Residential Care Health Unit, Hereford
The Urbanists were appointed to provide planning consultancy services on behalf of Herefordshire Mind to secure planning permission for a replacement adult residential care facility in Hereford. The future proposed development of the land was constrained by the flood risk of an adjacent brook, which was also sensitive in terms of ecology (Special Area of Conservation).
The Urbanists prepared and managed the planning strategy on behalf of the client including pre-application engagement of the LPA, project design, co-ordinating sub-consultant inputs to support the application. The Urbanists also provided a detailed Planning Statement and a detailed hard and soft landscaping scheme.
We were engaged from the early stages of the project allowing the proposed development to clearly demonstrate that it had successfully accommodated and responded to the specific planning requirements of this site and the proposed use. Planning permission is expected to be granted in late 2011.
