Work has started on the Clifton Street Improvement Scheme in Cardiff. The Urbanists were appointed by the Welsh Assembly Government to produce detailed guidelines for the building enhancement and shop front renewal elements of the scheme. The project will see the physical transformation of the street from its existing run-down state to a revitalised commercial centre that will form the catalyst for regeneration.

The Urbanists will continue to work alongside both the Welsh Assembly Government and Cardiff Council into 2009 as design enablers for the implementation of the design guidelines.
