The planning system is constantly evolving, but Mark as our Principal Planning Manager utilises his extensive working knowledge of both the English and Welsh planning systems, to negotiate planning permissions that improve our clients' interests. Mark has an acute understanding of the commercial, environmental, and social aspects of development, and merges clear thinking and communication with innovative practice to provide planning advice and solutions for our clients that reduce risk and create opportunity.
What do you think makes a successful place 'work'?
A variety of uses, as it results in different people using the place, which provides a more vibrant atmosphere.
What is favourite place & why:
I don't have a specific place which is a definite favourite. Every place has its positive and negative aspects although they are not always obvious on the first glance and it may take a while to find them!
What interests you outside of work?
Other than planning (of course), my interests involve balancing marathon running with managing my allotment garden, and our fledgling family.
What activity do you most want to undertake in the next ten years?
To complete my RYA qualifications and sailing experience to the level of Yachtmaster Ocean
