Chris joined Powell Dobson Urbanists, at its inception in 2005, to provide urban design expertise. An excess of 15 years experience within the built environment has given him an appreciation of the importance of every aspect of design. He appreciates the influence that he, as an urban designer, has on the environment in which people live and work. It is this appreciation that drives him. He strives to design for people, creating positive and sustainable ‘places’ that are both attractive and practical.

Chris has expertise in the preparation of development frameworks, masterplans and design codes. Recent projects have included a masterplan for the redevelopment of the former 'British' works near Pontypool and a masterplan and design code for 1250 new homes in Filton, Bristol.
