James is a chartered town planner and urban designer with 10 years experience in the public and private sectors.

James started his career as a regeneration officer with Wigan Borough Council, and later Salford City Council before moving to Taylor Young Urban Design in Manchester. 

He has gained a wealth of experience in regeneration strategies, development frameworks, urban design briefs, design codes, site layouts and public realm strategies.

He has led multi-disciplinary teams on numerous town centre regeneration strategies and estate renewal plans and is currently developing detailed solutions for good street design on a number of challenging commissions.
